USE OF NATURAL OILS TO PROTECT, RESTORE AND REJUVENATE THE SKIN
Several natural oils can be used directly on the skin to protect it from daily impacts, to sooth irritation and inflammation, to restore structure and for rejuvenation.
The best oil is said to be argan oil, which originates from the fruit of a tree growing in the Middle East and north Africa,
Virgin olive oil of good quality is also very good for the purposes, and so are also sunflower oil.
The natural oily hydrocarbone squalan, which is a component of these oils have vert strong restorative effects on the skin, but it should be blended with one of the other oils if it is used daily, since the substance can irritate the skin by concentrated daily use.
When using these oils you only need small quantities, enough to saturate the skin, but not so much that the skin feels greasy. The skin should be newly washed but dry before application.
Olive oil also protects against sun damage, but it does not contain sunshield as such, so it shall not substitute for sunscreen with prolonged sun exposure.
